Human-Reviewed Growth System Checklist
This checklist is the companion to What to expect from an agentic marketing agency. It is written for a service business that wants faster execution without giving up accountability for the message.
Work through it in order. Each section ends with a decision you can write down, not just a box to tick. Use your browser's print function to save it as PDF.
1. Bottleneck diagnosis
Answer honestly before choosing any tool. The first "no" is usually your real constraint.
- The offer is clear to the right audience, in one sentence, without jargon.
- A first-time visitor can name the next step within ten seconds of landing.
- Content answers questions buyers ask before they are ready to talk.
- Every enquiry is followed up within a defined time, with the original context attached.
- The team can separate visible activity (traffic, impressions) from qualified demand.
- Someone owns each of the five points above by name.
2. Search question to sales conversation
For each buyer question, fill one row. If a row has no owner or no next step, the path is broken.
| Buyer question | Page that answers it | Next step offered | Owner |
|---|---|---|---|
| "Is this service right for a business my size?" | Service page | 15-minute review | |
| "What does this actually cost?" | Pricing or package page | Scoping conversation | |
| "Can I trust the approach?" | Insight article or case study | Resource download | |
3. AI-assisted versus human-approved
Classify every recurring task before automating it. When in doubt, move it one column to the right.
| Task | AI may assist | Human must review | Human only |
|---|---|---|---|
| Keyword and competitor research | Yes | Spot-check sources | — |
| First draft of an article | Yes | Editorial approval | — |
| Meta titles and descriptions | Yes | Before publish | — |
| Customer-facing claims and case studies | Draft only | Always | Final wording |
| Brand positioning or offer changes | — | — | Yes |
| Publishing and deployment | — | — | Yes |
| Outreach and social posting | Draft only | — | Send decision |
| Anything touching CRM or personal data | — | — | Yes |
4. Editorial, privacy and publishing boundaries
Write these down once. They are what makes the system safe to run quickly.
- A named person approves live website changes. No exceptions for "small" edits.
- No claim about results is published without a source the team can show.
- Personal or customer data never enters a prompt, a draft, or a public page.
- Outreach and social posts are queued for approval, never sent automatically.
- Anything generated with AI assistance is reviewed for accuracy before it carries the brand.
- When evidence is incomplete, the recommendation says so instead of guessing.
5. Weekly review rhythm
Thirty minutes, same slot each week. Three questions, written answers.
- Content: what shipped, what is queued for approval, what is blocked?
- Leads: how many enquiries, from where, and did each get a response?
- Learning: which assumption was tested, and what changes next week?
- One decision is recorded each week, even if the decision is to wait.
